Observe the safety instructions and warnings on the device and follow
them! Follow the instructions in this manual!
In general
• Use a device that is adapted according to the size and displacement of your boat.
Under- and over-powering can put them in dangerous situations.
• Before using the device, check the water for hazards and uncertainties to avoid en-
dangering swimmers, users of other watercraft or your own safety.
• Always wear a life jacket when using a boat with this device. Non-swimmers and
children must never use the device with boat.
• Use the device, equipment and tools according to these instructions. Using the device
for applications other than those intended can lead to dangerous situations.
• Never work on the engine when the engine is still connected to the battery. Discon-
nect the power connection at the cable plug before removing the motor from the
bracket or changing the propeller.
• The device and packaging material are not toys for children! Children must not play
with plastic bags, foils and small parts! There is a danger of swallowing and choking!
Keep the device away from children.
• You are the first operator to be instructed by a specialist. Children and adolescents
under the age of 18 are not allowed to use the device. If a young person over the age
of 16 is trained by a specialist under supervision, he or she is exempted from the ban.
Only lend or give the device to persons who are familiar with its operation. Please
include the user manual in the delivery. The operating personnel is responsible to third
parties. Keep other people away while using the device. Distraction can cause you to
lose control of the device.
• Never work the device, when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs,
medications or other substances that may restrict your senses. A moment of careless-
ness when using the device can lead to serious injuries.
• Risk of injury the limbs! The propeller is very sharp-edged. Always wear work gloves
when working with the propeller. Never come into contact with the running propeller
with body parts, clothing or other objects.
• Operate the device only when the propeller is in the water. Sealing rings can be
damaged and the engine can overheat.
• Tiller with handle and control unit are protected against rain and splash water. Never
