Disassembly
You must dismantle the motor for storage, or for transport and maintenance work. The
disassembly is done in a few steps:
• Set the handle (2),p.1 1 to 0.
• Disconnect the connector between the battery and the cable (F),p.13.
• Loosen the screws of the tilt mechanism (C).
• Lift the motor from the motor mount.
• Place the motor on a flat surface.
Storage and care
• Remove the motor from the water after use.
• Disconnect the motor from the battery every time the motor is not in the water to pre-
vent accidental damage during transport or storage.
• Remove any water grass or other dirt from the engine after use. The motor must be
cleaned after 20 hours of operation.
• Spray a thin layer of silicone spray on all metal parts during prolonged storage.
• Never store the motor at over 60 °C.
• If your unit is not used in cold temperatures, store the unit in a frost-free place.
• After operating in brackish or salt water, rinse the engine with fresh water.
• Treat contacts on the power cable and the plugs on the control cable once a month
with contact spray.
• Store the device under cover in a non-corrosive environment.
• Store the device so that it is kept away from children.
• Keep the device away from rain, wetness and humidity.
Transport
• Secure the device in vehicles against movement with straps.
