m) Avoid working close to electrical, chemical, or thermal hazards.
Do not use equipment around moving machinery.
Operational check
Before each use, carry out a visual check of the device followed by
an operational check performed by test-loading it while secured by
other means.
It is essential to assess the reliability and security of the entire
safety system you are relying on: adequate resistance of the
anchors (EN 795 or according to regulations which apply) and the
structure they are fixed on, their correct (higher) positioning,
protecting sharp edges or points of rubbing, redundancy, etc. Any
overload or dynamic loading of the device may result in damage.
Therefore, check regularly fastening and/or adjustment elements.

Consult sketch.
Figure 2: POSITIONING
Lory X as a positioning device has two options for use:
Lateral attachment option:
Fasten the connector on the rope adjustment element to one of the
lateral attachment points on the harness, then pass the lanyard
around the structure, and fasten the remaining connector to the
second lateral attachment point on the harness (fig. 2A).
Ventral attachment option:
Fasten the rope adjustment element to the ventral attachment point
on the harness and the remaining connector on an anchor point
(EN 795, or according to valid regulations) or directly onto the
structure (fig 2B).
Pay always attention to keep the lanyard tight, that the anchor point
is above the waist level, and to protect any contacts of the lanyard
with underlying structure with the sliding protector (fig. 2C).
