5. Commissioning and operation
5.7 eTEFRACTO-PAD
Insert the sensor into the heat shield opening and ensure it bottoms out inside the guide
channel.
CAUTION!
EN
Damage to the measuring instrument
Failure to observe the permissible operating temperature, also taking
into account convection and radiation, can even cause damage to the
thermometer during mounting.

5.8 Tube clip welding
Attach clips at predetermined locations. Preheat area before welding if required.
■
Weld the first tube clip at 100 mm [4"] from the guide channel. Weld only on the
■
opposite side of the guide channel (See figure 2).
Weld tube clip on one end only and ensure there is a loose fit (no friction)
between the MIMS cable and the clip (see figure 2).
The tube clip should allow axial expansion of the MIMS cable.
■
Weld clips maximum every 300 mm [12 in] to 450 mm [18 in] of run alternating on
■
opposite sides of the sheath (see figure 2).
Force tube clips down after the thermocouple installation to ensure good sensor to tube
■
contact.
