Before installing the induction hob, make sure that:
- The worktop is level and square-shaped, and no structural elements violate the space
requirements.
- The worktop material is heat resistant.
- If you install the cooking hob over an oven, the latter must have a cooling fan.
- The installation will comply with all the safety requirements, and the applicable rules
and regulations.
- The hob incorporates a safety switch that allows it to be completely disconnected
from the mains, which has been installed and positioned in accordance with local
electrical rules and regulations.
- The isolating switch must be of an approved model and provide 3 mm contact
separation on all poles (or on all active [phase] conductors if local wiring regulations
allow this variation of requirements).
- The user can easily access the isolation switch with the induction hob installed.
- If in doubt about the installation, seek advice from local building authorities and
regulations.
- Use heat-resistant and easy-to-clean finishes (such as ceramic tiles) on the walls
surrounding the hob.
- If the induction hob is installed near a cabinet or drawers, a thermal protection
