6 Application and Operation
Filling the tank
DANGER:
Danger of scalding!
Pressurized steam can be present in the
machine.
▷ Do not open the drain cock as long as the

machine is under pressure.
▷ Check if the drain cock on the bottom of the
machine is shut (cock lever must be lateral to
the direction of flow).
▷ Check if the main switch is set to 0.
DANGER:
Danger of scalding!
Pressurized steam can be present in the
machine.
▷ Do not unscrew the closing lid as long as the
machine is under pressure.
▷ Unscrew the closing lid [5].
NOTE:
Damage of the machine through operation with
unsuitable fluids:
▷ Only use tap water or distilled water.
▷ Do not fill in chemical products or other addi-
tives.
▷ Fill the tank with cold water via the filler neck in
the pouring trough.
The tank is equipped with an overflow
pipe, so that it cannot be overfilled.
▷ If required, remove excess water from the pour-
ing trough.
▷ Screw on the closing lid [5] again.

Heating up
▷ Switch the machine on via the main switch [1]
(on left side).
The heating system switches on automatically.
During the heating phase, the red heating sys-
tem indicator lamp [3] lights up.
▷ To prevent noise from the heating up process:
Press and hold the switch [6] on the hand-piece
for 5 seconds directly after switching on.
After approx. 20 minutes, the Steamer X3
reaches the steam pressure and is ready for oper-
ation. The green operation indicator lamp [4]
lights up and the red heating system indicator
lamp [3] goes out.
