Important safety instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL BEFORE OPERATING THE PRODUCT,
ALWAYS OBSERVING THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND FOLLOWING THE
DIRECTIONS TO PREVENT ACCIDENTS AND OR INJURIES.
• Plastic wrappers and other product packaging materials should be kept out of the reach of
children and animals to avoid danger of suffocation.
• Check that the product voltage is compatible with the electrical power supply.
• If the power cord or plug is damaged, discontinue use immediately and have the product
repaired by an authorized Oster® service center.
• Never operate the unit if any parts are damaged (including the power cord or plug). If
any abnormality occurs, discontinue use immediately and have the product repaired by an
authorized Oster® service center.
• When the product is plugged into the electrical outlet, ensure the power cord remains
slightly loose to avoid strain and stretching.
• Carefully arrange the power cord to avoid the risk of accidental tripping.
• Never connect the plug to an overloaded electrical power outlet as this may cause serious
personal injury and damage the product.
• Keep the appliance and power cord away from hot surfaces and avoid exposure to direct
sunlight and moisture.
• Never allow the product to operate unattended.
• Never operate the appliance on a wet or moist surface area.
• Keep the appliance away from direct sources of heat such as stoves, ovens or open
flames.
• Use only manufacturer-approved accessories. The use of accessories which are not
manufacturer-approved may impair product performance, damage the appliance and cause
personal injury.
• Never tug the electrical power card. Always grasp the plug to disconnect from the electrical
wall socket.
• When cleaning the product always ensure the appliance is unplugged and avoid direct
contact with the electric prongs.
• To avoid an electrical shock, never submerge the base of the mixer or the electrical power
cord in water or any other liquid.
• Never touch the electrical power cord or plug with wet hands.
