8. BATTERY CHARGING – AC CONNECTIONS
8.1 This battery charger is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit. The charger must
be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug must be plugged
into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all
local codes and ordinances. The plug pins must fit the receptacle (outlet). Do
not use with an ungrounded system.
8.2 Never alter the AC cord or plug provided – if it does not fit the outlet, have
a proper grounded outlet installed by a qualified electrician. An improper
connection can result in a risk of an electric shock or electrocution.
NOTE: The use of an adapter plug is not recommended.
8.3 Recommended minimum AWG size for extension cord:
• 100 feet long or less - use an 16 gauge extension cord.
• Over 100 feet long - use a 14 gauge extension cord.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

9.1 Included with your battery charger are two cord wrap cleats for storage of the
clamp cables.
9.2 To install, align the two tabs to correspond with the two receptacles and push
until you hear a snap.
9.3 Wrap clamp cables after unplugging the power cord from the AC wall outlet
and store your charger in a dry location.

CHARGER CONTROLS

Digital Display
The Digital Display gives a digital indication of voltage, % of charge or time,
depending on the Display Mode chosen.
Display Mode Button
Use this button to set the function of the digital display to one of the following:
• Battery %
the battery connected to the charger battery clips.
Voltage
•
in DC volts.
• Alternator %
of the vehicle's charging system connected to the charger battery clips as
compared to a properly functioning system.
Risk of electric shock or fire.
