7.1 Transport and storage

When transporting linear units, you must ensure that it is not handled by a crane, forklift or even
persons at the ends. Before transport, the guide slots will be driven into the end position and
locked there.
The load is to be secured adequately during transport, noting the centre of gravity, such that the
load is prevented from tipping.
Never walk under the load. The necessary protective clothing is to be worn for all manoeuvres.
Accident prevent regulations and safety rules are to be obeyed.
During transport and storage, impacts to the shaft ends and drive pins must be avoided.
Damage due to transport and storage is to be reported to the line manager and to
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH immediately.
The product is to be checked by qualified staff for visible and functional damage.
Starting up damaged linear units is forbidden.
The following environmental conditions are laid down for linear unit storage:
no oil-contaminated air
contact with solvent-based paints must be avoided
lowest/highest ambient temperature: 0°C/+60°C(standard version); -30°C/+80°C (stainless
steel version)
Relative humidity in storage: falling below the dewpoint is not allowed (only standard version)
Prevent flexing of the linear unit:
An appropriate number of support points over the length of the guidance section prevents
flexing of the linear unit.
Divergent environmental factors must be approved by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH.
