STARTING UP

Final checks

Following installation and programming, start up the
gate and check all the devices installed.
1 Check the correct operation of the key commands
(transmitter, pushbutton and wall key).
See "Functioning modes KM1800" on page 58.
2 Check the correct operation of the safety devices
(photocells or mechanical strips).
See "Detection by photocell or safety strip" on
page 58.
3 Ensure that the magnetic limit switches work
correctly.
Pass a magnet through the magnetic detectors
and check that DL6 and DL7 go off (see "Failure
diagnosis" on page 76).
4 Position an obstacle and make the gate bang into it
in order to check the operation of the mechanical
clutch.
5 If everything is correct, close the control board
cover.

Installation Guide
Regulation of garage lighting time (T.LG)
If the garage lighting circuit has been connected to the
control panel, regulate the time which the lights shall
remain on using T.LG.
Minimum value: 3 seconds; maximum value: 90
seconds
Open gate standby time (T.E.)
If automatic or alternative automatic functioning mode
has been programmed, regulate T.E. to adjust the
standby time with the gate open (before automatic
closing begins).
Minimum value: 0 seconds; maximum value: 90
seconds
Torque regulation (P.M)
The correct torque adjustment is of vital
importance to prevent injury and damage.
Increased torque produces a more violent
impact.
The motor torque is limited by the adjustable
mechanical clutch, to which end P.M. must be
adjusted to the maximum in order to prevent
interference.
1 Set the potentiometer P.M at the maximum value
possible.
2 Adjust the mechanical clutch (see "Clutch
regulation (KM1800 and KM2500)" on page 68).
If the system does not work correctly, find out
why and put it right (see "Failure diagnosis" on
page 76).
