FUNCTIONING MODES KM1800
These functioning modes are valid for the KM1800 models. The KM2500 operator is a three-phase operator without
a built-in control board; check the programming operation modes in the control board instructions guide.
Automatic mode (KM1800: DIP4=ON)
Opening: this begins by activating the key device
(transmitter, magnetic key, key switch, etc).
• Step-by-step opening: (KM1800: DIP3=ON): if
the key device is activated during opening, the gate
comes to a halt. The gate closes if activated again.
• Collective opening (KM1800: DIP3=OFF): during
opening, the control board does not obey the key
commands.
Step-by-step mode (KM1800: DIP4=OFF)
Opening: this begins by activating the key device
(transmitter, magnetic key, key switch, etc).
• Step-by-step opening: (KM1800: DIP3=ON): if
the key device is activated during opening, the gate
comes to a halt. The gate closes if activated again.
• Collective opening (KM1800: DIP3=OFF): during
opening, the control board does not obey the key
commands.

BEHAVIOUR IN THE FACE OF AN OBSTACLE KM1800
Detection by photocell or safety strip
The KM2500 operator is a three-phase operator without a built-in control board; check the control board instructions
guide to see behaviour when the safety device is activated.
Opening safety device (SG.A)
During opening: if, during opening, the opening
safety device (SG.A) is activated, the gate inverts
operation direction and slightly closes. The gate
remains on standby until a key command is received.
During closing: the opening safety device (SG.A.) does
not run.

programmed time.
• Automatic mode optional (only if DIP5=ON in
KM1800): if, during standby, the key device is
activated, the gate begins to close.
• Non-automatic
mode
DIP5=OFF in KM1800): if, during standby, the key
device or the photocell is activated, standby time
starts again.
Closing: the closing operation starts once stand-by
time is finished.
If, during closing, the key device is activated, the
gate stops and then inverts operation direction and
opens completely.
Standby: the gate remains open until a key command
is received.
Close: the closing process begins by running the key
device (transmitter, magnetic key, key switch, etc).
If, during closing, the key device is activated, the
gate stops and then inverts operation direction and
opens completely.
Closing safety device (SG.C)
During opening: the closing safety device (SG.C.) does
not run.
During closing: if, during closing, the closing safety
device (SG.C) is activated, the gate inverts operation
