5.3.5 Muting channels

All input channels, subgroups, Aux ways, internal effect ways and
the sum channel MAIN can be separately muted when they are not
needed, for example� This muting will also apply to any extracted
signal (AUX, FX) of the muted channel, no matter whether it has
been set to PRE or POST�
1) Use the appropriate key (7, 8, 11) to select an input channel, Aux
way, subgroup or the sum channel MAIN�
Note: A subgroup or an Aux way can only be selected via these keys when
the key AUX-FX MODE (12) is not illuminated; if required press the key so
that it extinguishes�
2) To mute, press the key MUTE (23) so that it lights up�
3) To unmute, press the key MUTE again�
When the function "Pre-Fader Listening" is switched on [key PFL (17)
illuminated], it is possible to monitor the signal (
while muting is activated�
With the key FX MUTE (14), the two internal effect ways can always
be directly muted or unmuted simultaneously�

5.3.6 Overview of the signal paths

The screen view "Assign" (fig� 9) offers an overview of the signal
path of an input channel or FX channel� The screen view can be called
up with the key ASSIGN (22) (channel must be selected); it will be
automatically displayed when the key AUX-FX MODE (12) is pressed
to assign an Aux way or internal effect way�

The screen view "Routing" provides an excellent overview of all as-
signed signal paths within the mixer, related to a sum channel:
1) Press the key SYSTEM (16) twice�
2) Use the appropriate key (7) or (11) [not (23)!] to select the sum
channel (AUX, SUB, FX, MAIN) to be displayed in the overview�
3) Figure 10 is an example overview of a subgroup� For each input
channel and each internal effect way, the overview indicates
whether it is assigned to the subgroup (ON) or not (OFF)� To change
an assignment, tap the appropriate button on the screen�
4) Figure 11 is an example overview of an Aux way� For each input
channel and each internal effect way, the overview indicates the
signal part assigned to the Aux way and whether the signal is
picked up ahead of the channel fader (PRE) or after the channel
fader (POST)�
To change the position of the signal pick-up, tap the appropriate
button on the screen� To adjust the signal part, tap the appropriate
control on the screen and then use the rotary knob PARAMETER
ADJUST (18)�
