2 Applications

The DMIX-20 is a versatile audio mixer with digital signal processing� It
provides 18 analog inputs: 16 mono inputs that can also be used for
microphones, and 2 stereo inputs� Via a USB port, a stereo input and a
stereo output for recording and reproduction by means of a computer
are available� The colour touch screen offers a perfect overview for
all settings as well as intuitive control options� Additional features of
the mixer include:
– Insertion jacks for the input channels 1– 8
– 4 Aux ways and 4 subgroups or 8 Aux ways can be selected
– 6 DCA groups for simultaneous level control of selected channels
– 2 headphone outputs and 1 output for the control room with in-
dependent volume control
– 100 mm motor fader
– Phantom power supply (48 V) for all microphone inputs, can be
separately activated for each input
– 2 effect processors with 12 effect types
– Dynamic-range processor for each input channel, output and effect
way
– Adjustable high-pass filter and low-pass filter as well as parametric
4-band equalizer for each input channel, output and effect way
– Graphic equalizer with 31 frequency bands for each subgroup, each
Aux way and the output MAIN
– Storage for channel characteristics, effect settings, equalizer settings
and scenes
– RJ45 network connection for future remote-control option
– Additional module to extend the digital inputs and digital outputs
by 32 channels via USB

3 Safety Notes

The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of the EU and is therefore
marked with
WARNING
The unit is suitable for indoor use only� Protect it against dripping
water, splash water, high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range: 0 – 40 °C)�
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e� g� drinking glasses,
on the unit�
The heat generated inside the unit must be dissipated by air circu-
lation; never cover the air vents of the housing�
Do not operate the unit and immediately disconnect it from the
mains if
1� the unit or the mains cable is visibly damaged,
2� a defect might have occurred after the unit was dropped or suf-
fered a similar accident,
3� malfunctions occur�
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled personnel�
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains plug from the
mains socket, always seize the plug�
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use water or chemicals�
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for any resulting
personal damage or material damage will be accepted if the unit
is used for other purposes than originally intended, if it is not cor-
