Installation
•
First of all, check that the position where the drawbridge leveller is to be installed offers adequate free space for operation when in use.
•
Packing is required if there is a gap of more than 1 mm between the hinge plate (1) and the steel U profile (2).
•
The top joint along the entire length of the hinge plate should be prepared for a continuous weld.
•
Before welding, the zinc coating should be removed in the area of the welded joint.
•
The bottom welded joint should be welded alternately starting from the left and from the right (see figure).
•
A central weld where L=500 mm is required in the area of the hinge plate.
•
The side weld should be executed in accordance with the figure.
•
After welding, the attachment fittings should be removed and the welded seams protected against corrosion.
Painting welded and damaged surfaces:

Surfaces that are to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, grease, rust, etc.
•
Spray cold galvanising paint on the surfaces and allow to dry for approximately 30 minutes
•
After installation, apply a final coat of paint to all areas of paint damage using the touch-up paint provided.
5.5
Marshalling space
Adequate marshalling space must be provided for parking up materials handling equipment, if required
