* ATTENTION: this machine can only be used to
suction dry substances and cannot be utilized
outdoor with rainy weather .
* Regularly check the power supply cable for damages
due to chapping or aging. Replace the cable before
using it again.
* Should the line cable be damaged, this must be
either replaced by the manufacturer or by its service
centre or in any case by a person having similar
skills, so as to prevent any risk.
* Squashing, pulling, stretching, abrasion, etc. can
cause damage to the cables and insulation.
* The suction nozzle should be kept away from the
body, especially from delicate areas such as eyes,
ears and mouth.
* Do not suck up substances that can damage the
equipment (for example: pieces of glass, metal
shavings, etc.).
* Never leave the equipment unattended while in
use.
* The use of this machine for anything not specifi ed
in this manual may be dangerous and must be
avoided.
* Components used in packaging (i.e. plastic bags)
can be dangerous: keep away from children and
animals.
* Follow the manufacturers instructions whenever
changing parts.
* The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
any damage/injury caused to persons or property,
because of the incorrect use of the machine due
to procedures being used which are not specifi ed
in this instruction manual.
GB.4 Assembly of the Appliance
GB.4.1 Delivery
The Tennant V5 Vacuum Cleaning machine is supplied ready
to use. It consists of a tank mounted on wheels, cover with
handle, fi lter cartridge and an exhaust fi lter. In the pack, you
will have the following: hand pipe (two pieces), elbow, fl exible
suction hose, fl oor tool and paper fi lter bag.
GB.4.2 Assembly of the suction hose, hand pipes
and fl oor tool
Disconnect the plug from the main power
supply!
Holding the rubber cuff of the suction hose
coupling, insert it into the tank socket and rotate
it clockwise.
Assemble the two straight pipes and elbow by simply
pushing them together. Now fi t the fl oor tool to the
lower end of the straight pipe and connect the end
of the suction hose to the elbow section.
GB.5 Operation of the Tennant V5
Ensure that the paper fi lter bag and fi lter cartridge are
in the tank of the machine and correctly positioned.
Always ensure that fi lters are clean and serviceable
and that the suction hose, wand
and fl oor tool are not blocked. Connect the plug to
the main power supply and switch the machine on by
pressing the on/off switch.
GB.6 Switching off the Tennant V5
Switch the machine off by pressing the on/off switch.
Disconnect the plug from the main power supply wall
socket. Do not pull on the cable as it may be damaged.
Always wind up the cable and hang it on the handle/
cable hanger on the top cover of the machine.
GB.7 Maintenance Advice
GB.7.1 Normal Maintenance
Always disconnect the plug from the main power
supply before commencing any cleaning or
maintenance of the machine. Always refer to the
manufacturers technical data and instructions
when replacing any parts.
Regular maintenance has three stages:
Daily inspection:
* Visually inspect machine for any damaged parts,
* damaged cables or electrical connections and
* check that the paper fi lter bag is neither full nor
damaged.
