WARNING
You should ALWAYS consult with your physician or
therapist to determine proper adjustment and usage. A
physical/occupational therapist should assist in the height
adjustment for maximum support.
Check rubber tips for rips, tears, cracks or wear. If any of
these conditions exist, replace the rubber tips
IMMEDIATELY.
The cane is not designed to support the total weight of an
individual.
When using a quad cane, all four legs of the cane base must be
in contact with and perpendicular to the walking surface. The
base of the cane may be larger than the surface on stairways.
Make sure that the longest or flattest portion of the base is
closest to the user's foot - otherwise, injury or damage may
occur.
Exercise extra care when walking on a slippery or wet
surface.
After adjustments and before use, make sure that the cam
lever is locked in place.
Care should be taken to ensure that all hand and height
adjustments are secure before using this or any mobility aid.
If hand grips are exposed to extreme temperature [above
100°F (37°C or below 32°F (0°C)], high humidity and/or
becomes wet, prior to use, ensure hand grips do not twist on
cane handle - otherwise damage or injury may occur.
If exposed to extreme temperature [above 100°F (37°C )],
the cane will be hot and first degree burns may occur.
