8.1. PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

Perform regular inspections of the machine in order
to ensure effective operation of the machine. For a
complete service check, we recommend taking the
machine to your service technician at least once a
session.
Always use an adequate spare part in order to obtain
an adequate performance of the product and avoid
damages and risks to machine and user. Spare
parts must be purchased from the dealer's technical
service. The use of unofficial spare parts can cause
risks of accident, personal injury to the user and
breakage of the machine.
Carry out the following maintenances with the
frequency indicated in the following table:

8.1.1. GENERAL CLEANING

Keep the machine clean, especially the fuel tank area
and the areas near the air filter.
Keep your machine clean and in good condition.
Clean the housings of your machine with a cloth
moistened in water. Never use gasoline, solvents,
detergents, water or any other liquid to clean the
machine.

8.2.1. CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

A dirty air filter will restrict air flow to the carburetor,
implying a loss of power, malfunction and increase
of fuel consumption in the machine. Remember to
always check the cleanliness of the filter, especially in
areas with extreme dust.
To clean the filter:
1. Remove the filter protection cap.
2. Remove the filter.
3. Dust can be cleaned on the outside of the filter by
shaking it against a hard surface.
4. Clean the filter with soapy water.
5. Rinse the filter with plenty of clean water.
6. Allow the filter to dry.
7. Once dry moisten it with 2 drops of oil (If you
moisten the filter with too much oil the machine
may not start).
8. Install the filter in the machine.
9. Put on the protective cap.
Note: The engine should never work without the filter
installed air
8.2.2. FUEL FILTER
The fuel tank is equipped with a filter. It is located at
the end of the fuel suction pipe and can be removed
with the help of a wire hook.
Periodically check the fuel filter.
Do not allow dirt in the fuel tank to prevent that the
filter gets dirty.
A dirty filter will produce difficulties in starting the
