3) Stereo-Eingang „AUX INPUT" (28):
Der symmetrische Eingang„AUX INPUT" kann bei
Bedarf für den Anschluss einer zusätzlichen Line-
Tonquelle genutzt werden. Bei Anschluss eines
Mono-Geräts nur die obere Buchse „LEFT" ver-
wenden. Das Signal des an diesen Buchsen an-
geschlossenen Geräts wird mit dem Regler „AUX
INPUT" (30) auf die Signalsumme gemischt.
5.2 Effektgeräte einschleifen
Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten, Effektgeräte einzu-
schleifen:
1. über die Ausspielwege Aux 1 und Aux 2 (siehe
Kap. 5.2.1)
2. über die Insert-Buchsen „SEND/RETURN" (27)
des Masterkanals (siehe Kap. 5.2.2)

5.2.1 Ausspielwege als Effektwege nutzen

Über die Regler der Ausspielwege Aux 1 und Aux 2
können Signalanteile aus den Eingangskanälen
ausgekoppelt, über ein Effektgerät (z. B. Hallgerät)
bearbeitet und wieder in das Mischpult zurückge-
führt und auf die Signalsumme gemischt werden.
Der Ausspielweg Aux 1 ist ab Werk als Post-
Fader-Weg ausgelegt und kann damit als Effektweg
genutzt werden. Soll stattdessen oder zusätzlich der
Ausspielweg Aux 2 als Effektweg verwendet wer-
den, muss er von pre-fader (Grundeinstellung ab
Werk) auf post-fader umgestellt werden. Für diese
Modifikation muss das Gerät geöffnet werden –
siehe Kap. 8.2.
1) Den Eingang des Effektgerätes an den asymme-
trischen Mono-Ausgang „AUX SEND 1" (37) [bei
Verwendung von Ausspielweg Aux 1] anschließen
bzw. an den asymmetrischen Mono-Ausgang
„AUX SEND 2" (38) [bei Verwendung von Aus-
spielweg Aux 2].
2) Den Ausgang des Effektgerätes an den symme-
trischen Stereo-Eingang „AUX INPUT" (28) an-
schließen (bei einem Mono-Effektgerät nur die
obere Buchse „LEFT" verwenden) oder an den
Line-Eingang eines Eingangskanals.

ment) to the balanced 6.3 mm jacks "LINE" (3).
Note: It is recommended to connect either the
microphone input or the line input of each
channel. Do not use both inputs at the
same time.
2) Stereo channels "7/8" and "9/10":
Stereo units with line level (e. g. synthesizer, key-
board, drum computer, CD player) to the bal-
anced 6.3 mm jacks "LEFT" and "RIGHT" (2).
Mono units can also be connected to the ster-
eo channels. In this case, only use the upper jack
"LEFT". The input signal is then internally switch-
ed to the right and left channels.
3) Stereo input "AUX INPUT" (28):
The balanced input "AUX INPUT" can be used for
connecting an additional line audio source, if
required. When connecting a mono unit, only use
the upper jack "LEFT". The signal of the unit
connected to these jacks is mixed to the master
signal with the control "AUX INPUT" (30).

5.2 Inserting effect units

There are two ways to insert effect units:
1. via the AUX send ways Aux 1 and Aux 2 (see
chapter 5.2.1)
2. via the insert jacks "SEND/RETURN" (27) of the
master channel (see chapter 5.2.2)

5.2.1 Using AUX send ways as effect ways

Via the controls of the AUX send ways Aux 1 and
Aux 2, signal parts can be taken off from the input
channels, processed via an effect unit (e. g. rever-
beration unit), returned to the mixer and mixed to the
master signal.
The AUX send way Aux 1 is designed as a post-
fader way in the factory and can thus be used as an
effect way. If the AUX send way Aux 2 is to be used
as an effect way instead or additionally, it must be
modified from pre-fader (basic adjustment in the fac-
tory) to post-fader. For this modification, the unit
must be opened – see chapter 8.2.
5.2.2 Effektgerät in die Signalsumme einschleifen
Bei dem Einschleifen eines Effektgeräts, wie z. B.
Kompressor, graphischer Equalizer, in den Master-
kanal wird die Stereo-Signalsumme – noch vor der
Pegelregelung über die Masterfader (34) – über die
Buchsen „SEND/RETURN" (27) ausgekoppelt und
über dieselben Buchsen wieder zurückgeführt.
Für den Anschluss je ein Y-Kabel pro Kanal ver-
wenden. Aus dem Programm von MONACOR eig-
net sich dazu das Kabel MCA-202 (siehe Abb. 2).
Für den linken Kanal den Stereo-Stecker des Kabels
in die linke Buchse „SEND/ RETURN" stecken. Das
zum Effektgerät gehende Ausgangssignal („Send")
liegt an der Spitze des Stereo-Steckers an, das vom
Effektgerät kommende Eingangssignal („Return")
am Ring; am Schaft liegt die gemeinsame Masse
an. Den Mono-Stecker für das Send-Signal an den
linken Eingangskanal des Effektgerätes anschließen
und den Mono-Stecker für das Return-Signal an den
linken Ausgangskanal des Effektgeräts. Das zweite
Y-Kabel auf die gleiche Weise an die rechte Buchse
„SEND/RETURN" und den rechten Ein- und Aus-
gangskanal des Effektgeräts anschließen.

5.3 Kopfhörer
Beim Abmischen kann sowohl das Mastersignal als
auch das PFL-Signal jedes Eingangskanals über
einen Stereo-Kopfhörer (Impedanz min. 32 Ω) abge-
hört werden. Den Kopfhörer an die Buchse (44)
anschließen. Nähere Informationen zu der Abhör-
funktion finden Sie im Kap. 7.5.
1) Connect the input of the effect unit to the unbal-
anced mono output "AUX SEND 1" (37) [when
using AUX send way 1] or to the unbalanced
mono output "AUX SEND 2" (38) [when using
AUX send way Aux 2].
2) Connect the output of the effect unit to the bal-
anced stereo input "AUX INPUT" (28) [in case of
a mono effect unit, only use the upper jack
"LEFT"] or to the line input of an input channel.
5.2.2 Inserting an effect unit into the
master signal
When inserting an effect unit (e. g. compressor,
graphic equalizer) into the master channel, the stereo
master signal is taken off – ahead of the level control
with the master faders (34) – via the jacks "SEND/
RETURN" (27) and returned via the same jacks.
For connection, use a Y-cable each per channel.
From the MONACOR range, cable MCA-202 (see
fig. 2) is suitable. For the left channel, connect the
stereo plug of the cable to the left jack "SEND/
RETURN". The output signal ("Send") fed to the
effect unit is available at the tip of the stereo plug,
the input signal ("Return") returning from the effect
unit is available at the ring; the common ground is
available at the body. Connect the mono plug for the
send signal to the left input channel of the effect unit
and the mono plug for the return signal to the left
output channel of the effect unit. Connect the
second Y-cable in the same way to the right jack
"SEND/RETURN" and to the right input and output
channels of the effect unit.

5.4 Monitoranlage für die Musiker
Über die Ausspielwege können Signalanteile aus
den Eingangskanälen ausgekoppelt und einer Moni-
toranlage auf der Bühne zugeführt werden. Dies bie-
tet den Musikern die Möglichkeit, das Musiksignal
auf der Bühne speziell nach ihren Bedürfnissen ab-
zumischen.
Der Ausspielweg Aux 2 ist ab Werk als Pre-
Fader-Weg ausgelegt und kann deshalb als Moni-
torweg genutzt werden. [Aux 2 kann bei Bedarf auch
auf pre-equalizer (d. h. Signalabgriff noch vor der
Klangregelung) umgestellt werden. Für diese Modi-
fikation muss das Gerät geöffnet werden – siehe
Kap. 8.2]. Den Endverstärker der Monitoranlage an
den Ausgang „AUX SEND 2" (38) anschließen: hier
liegt das Gesamtsignal des Ausspielwegs an.
Auch der Ausspielweg Aux 1 kann durch interne
Modifikation des Gerätes von post-fader auf pre-
fader umgestellt (siehe Kap. 8.2) und damit als
Monitorweg genutzt werden. In diesem Fall den Ver-
stärker der Monitoranlage an den Ausgang „AUX
SEND 1" (37) anschließen.
Hinweis: Bei Umstellung des Ausspielwegs Aux 1
auf pre-fader werden auch die auf den
internen Effektprozessor geführten Sig-
nale pre-fader abgegriffen.
5.5 Tonaufnahmegerät
Für Tonaufnahmen den Eingang eines Stereo-Ton-
aufnahmegerätes an die Cinch-Buchsen „TAPE REC"
(40) anschließen. Der Pegel des Aufnahmesignals ist
abhängig von der Einstellung der Masterfader (34).
Für die Wiedergabe der Aufzeichnung den Wie-
dergabeausgang des Tonaufnahmegerätes an den
Eingang „TAPE PLAY" (41) anschließen. Das Ein-
gangssignal wird vor den Masterfadern (34) auf die
Signalsumme gegeben.
5.6 Verstärker für die Saalbeschallung
Den Verstärker für die Saalbeschallung an den sym-
metrischen Stereo-Masterausgang „BAL" (26) an-
schließen. Hier steht das mit den Masterfadern (34)
ausgesteuerte Gesamtsignal zur Verfügung.

5.3 Headphones

When mixing, both the master signal and the PFL
signal of each input channel can be monitored via
stereo headphones (minimum impedance 32 Ω).
Connect the headphones to the jack (44). Detailed
information concerning the monitoring feature can
be found in chapter 7.5.

5.4 Monitoring system for the musicians

Via the AUX send ways, signal parts can be taken off
from the input channels and fed to a monitoring
system on stage. This enables the musicians to mix
the music signal on stage according to their particu-
lar requirements.
The AUX send way Aux 2 is designed as a pre-
fader way in the factory and can therefore be used
as a monitor way. [Aux 2 can also be modified to
pre-equalizer (i. e. the signal is taken off ahead of
the equalizer), if required. For this modification, the
unit must be opened – see chapter 8.2]. Connect the
power amplifier of the monitoring system to the out-
put "AUX SEND 2" (38): the master signal of the
AUX send way is available at this output.
The AUX send way Aux 1 can also be set from
post-fader to pre-fader by internal modification of the
unit (see chapter 8.2) and thus be used as a monitor
way. In this case, connect the amplifier of the moni-
toring system to the output "AUX SEND 1" (37).
Note: When setting the AUX send way Aux 1 to pre-
fader, the signals fed to the internal effect pro-
cessor will also be taken off ahead of the
fader (pre-fader).

5.5 Audio recorder

For audio recordings, connect the input of a stereo
audio recorder to the phono jacks "TAPE REC" (40).
The level of the recording signal depends on the
adjustment of the master faders (34).
For replay of the recording, connect the replay
output of the audio recorder to the input "TAPE
PLAY" (41). The input signal is fed to the master sig-
nal ahead of the master faders (34).
