1 Operating Elements
and Connections
1 RGB LEDs (12 ×)
2 Display to indicate the operating mode and var-
ious functions (fig. 3)
Approximately 30 seconds after you have
pressed a control button (3), the display is deac-
tivated. When you press a button, it lights up
again.
3 Control buttons A and B to change the operating
mode or a setting
4 Connection cable POWER OUT for power sup-
ply of another RGBL-222DMX
5 Connection cable DMX OUT: DMX signal output
to connect the DMX signal input of another
RGBL-222DMX
6 Mounting brackets (2 x)
7 Mains plug for connection to a socket (230 V~ /
50 Hz)
8 XLR plug for the DMX signal input
pin 1 = ground, pin 2 = DMX-, pin 3 = DMX+
9 Plug of the cable POWER IN for power supply
(230 V~ / 50 Hz):
Either connect it to a socket via the cable with
mains plug (7) or to the inline jack of the cable
POWER OUT (4) of another RGBL-222DMX.
10 Plug of the cable DMX IN for the DMX signal
input:
Either connect it to a light controller via the cable
with XLR plug (8) or to the DMX signal output of
another DMX-controlled unit.

2 Safety Notes

This unit corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING
The unit uses dangerous mains volt-
age. Leave servicing to skilled per-
sonnel only. Inexpert handling of the
unit may result in electric shock.
Please observe the following items in any case:

Do not operate the unit and immediately discon-
nect the mains plug from the socket
1. if the unit or the mains cable is visibly dam-
aged,

2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel.

A damaged mains cable must be replaced by
skilled personnel only.

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the
plug.

For cleaning the housing and the protective pane
in front of the LEDs only use a mild detergent.

No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
safely installed or not correctly connected or
operated, or if it is not repaired in an expert way.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of
this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol , or coloured green or green and yel-
low.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.

3 Applications
This light effect panel is used for effect illumination.
It has a weatherproof aluminium housing (IP 65)
and is therefore also suitable for outdoor installa-
tion. As a light source, 12 extra bright LEDs are
used. They have a low power consumption, a low
heat generation and a long life. The LEDs are able
If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
