Installation and connection
4.1
Installing the BIP
NOTICE
Improper installation
Improper installation can compromise the function of the
BIP and result in damage.
► For this reason, ensure that no strong electrical or
magnetic fields are present in the immediate vicinity
of the BIP.
Notes on installation:
–
Any orientation is permitted.
–
Observe tightening torques, see Fig. 3-1.

In order to prevent effects on the measurement signal
by the installation material, a metal-free area around
the active surface of the BIP of approximately 20 mm
must be maintained (see Fig. 4-3). If the BIP detects
not only the magnet, but also another metal piece,
invalid measurement signals will result.
–
To obtain a measurement signal with high resolution,
suitable cable routing in the machine and filter
measures for system power supply must be ensured.
