To replace the battery, remove it by pressing the release button (9) (Ref. to Fig. 1), then insert the
new battery, sliding it into the guides until it locks.
The display shows the operational parameters of the tool; to customise, proceed as described in
section 2.7.
2.2.1) Inserting of dies
When introducing or changing dies, the battery must first be removed from the tool.
Select the appropriate die set for the connector.
Open the head (if required) by pressing the latch (11) and release the upper die holder (14) (Ref.
to Fig. 2).
Keep release pin (12) depressed and insert one die into the seat on the ram (15) and the other
die into the upper die holder (14) until they are locked by retaining pin (13).
Insert the battery.
2.2) Die advancement
Insert the conductor into the connector.
Position the connector between the dies and ensure the correct location
of the crimp (Ref. to Fig. 3) then close the head by the upper die holder (14).
Ensure that the latch and the upper die holder are fully secured, otherwise
damage may occur during tool operation.
Press the operating button (3) (Ref. to Fig. 4) to activate the motor-pump and advance the lower
die.
To halt the advancement, release the operating button (3) and the motor will cut out.
Make sure the dies are exactly positioned on the desired crimp point otherwise re-open dies
following instructions as per section 2.4 and reposition the connector.
2.3) Compression
By keeping the operating button (3) pressed, the motor continues to operate and the ram will
gradually move forward until the two dies touch.
The motor will stop automatically when the set pressure has been reached.
When more compression is required, proceed according to the sequence and direction indicated
in figure 5, uniformly spacing the compressions.
To perform a full compression, press and hold the operating button (3) until the motor stops
automatically.
