* Setting the TIG welding parameters.
Press the SET key to select the welding parameters successi-
vely.
Press keys T5 to increase to decrease the selected parameter.
* Measurement activation.
At any time during welding, key T4 can be pressed to display
the present values metered for current and voltage.
4.2 Front control panel FP127 (Fig. 2)
for Genesis 282-352
* L1: see 4.1.
* L2: see 4.1.
* L3: see 4.1.
* E1: Encoder.
It varies the welding current when T1 is set on the INSIDE
mode.
* C: see 4.1.
* T1: see 4.1.
* T2: MMA-TIG process selection key.
LED
is on, then the function selected is ELECTRODE
(MMA): in this way, HOT-START, ANTI-STICK and ARC-
FORCE.
LED
is on, then the function selected is TIG DC: HOT-
START, ARC-FORCE, and ANTI-STICK functions are discon-
nected at the arc starting LIFT-ARC.
* P1: Potentiometer for setting of the ARC-FORCE.
Available only for MMA welding . As shown by the scale it
adjusts the ARC-FORCE current value (i.e. the additive wel-
ding current needed to overcome the short circuit caused by
the welding bead) from 0% to 100% of the welding current .
In any case, both with HOT-START and ARC-FORCE the
maximum current which can be supplied by the welding
machine can never overpass the maximum nominal current
of the machine.

* T3: Measurement key.
If the led "V" comes on, the last voltage measurement perfor-
med in the last welding operation will be displayed. If you do
not begin welding within 5 sec., the system will automatically
switch to A displaying the current set. Vice versa if you begin
welding within the above time, the voltage will be displayed
during the entire welding operation after which the measure-
ment will remain displayed for a further 5 seconds.
If led "A" comes on, the current set will be shown on the dis-
play or the welding current if the operation is in progress. The
display is maintained for 5 seconds after the end of the wel-
ding operation.
4.3 Rear control panel (Fig. 3)
*
I1: Off/On switch
Turns on the electric power to the welder.
It has two positions, "O" off, and "I" on.
WARNING
*
With the I1 switch in the "I" on position, the welder is
operational, and gives a voltage between the positive (+)
and negative (-) clamps.
*
The welder is connected to the mains supply even if the I1
switch is in the "O" position, and therefore there are elec-
trically live parts inside it. Carefully follow the instruc-
tions given in this manual.
*
1 : Supply cable
*
3 : Gas fitting.
Present only on Genesis 282-352 TLE models.
