▪ Check that the auxiliary handle is properly
mounted and reliably tightened.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING Off
The polisher is secured against unintentional
switching on.
Brief activation:
Switching on: At first press the ON/OFF switch
locking button 3, and then press the ON/OFF
switch lever 4.
Switching off: Release ON/OFF switch 4.
Continuous operation:
Switching on: With the machine switched on
press the locking button 3 and release the ON/
OFF switch lever 4.
Switching off: Press ON/OFF switch 4 once and
release it immediately.
MOUNTING THE ACESSORIES
The standard set includes backing pad with
flange nut for direct mounting onto the spindle
and hook-and-loop fixing to the operating tool.
It is possible to deliver the power tool with differ-
ent accessories.
When mounting or dismounting polishing and
sanding tools (accessories) by screwing/un-
screwing onto the spindle, fix the polisher spin-
dle 1 by depressing the lock button 2 positioned
on the gear box.
WARNING: Never press the button 2
while the spindle is still rotating!
MOUNTING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
AND THE GUARD
The auxiliary handle 6 or 6b must be always
mounted during any operation with the ma-
chine.
The auxiliary handle 6 is fastened to the gear
box by two bolts 8 and washers 7 under the
bolt heads. Screwing and unscrewing the bolts
is performed by an open end spanner SW22.
The handle orientation towards the machine de-
pends on the operator's convenience.
The auxiliary handle 6b can be mounted alter-
natively to the right, upper or left side of the gear
box. It is screwed directly to the machine gear
box.
The side auxiliary handle 6b can be used with
the guard 12 when necessary.

fLEXIBLE BACKING PAD
The backing pad 9 can be screwed directly onto
the spindle. The hook-and-loop operating tools
10 (sandpaper, polishing sponge, felt wheel,
lambswool bonnet, etc.) can be fixed directly
onto the backing pad.
To dismount (unscrew) the backing pad use a
spanner when necessary.
To use the machine with the backing pad with
a fixing flange 9b place the support flange 13,
the backing pad 9b and the sandpaper onto the
spindle. Tighten the fixing flange 14 using a pin
spanner.
fIXING THE OPERATING TOOL TO THE
HOOK-AND-LOOP (VELCRO) BACKING
PAD
The operating tool fastened to the backing pad
shall be Ømin148. The operating tool shall be
aligned with the backing pad and care shall be
taken to ensure their coaxiality. Eccentrically
mounted operating tools cause wobbling and
vibrations.
WARNING: Use only pads with un-
damaged hook-and-loop system. Perform a
trial test for at least 30 sec at no load after
replacing the backing pad.
WARNING: Vibrating or otherwise
improperly rotating backing pads must be re-
placed immediately!
WIRE BRUSH
The machine can be operated with cup/wheel
wire brush with M14 thread.
Screw the wire brush onto the spindle 1 and
tighten it by the spanner.
LAMBSWOOL POLISHING BONNET
Place the lambswool polishing bonnet on the
backing pad 9b and check the correct distribu-
tion of the bonnet.
Fix the bonnet on the pad by the drawstring.
Insert the drawstring ends into the bonnet.
fELT POLISHING WHEEL AND POL-
ISHING SPONGE WITH fLANGE
Screw the felt wheel or the sponge with flange
onto the spindle 1.
