Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper
Follow these guidelines for best results. See your printer documentation for any additional instructions.
With Epson Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper, you use an ordinary household iron to transfer images printed on an EPSON printer
onto fabric.

Items supplied

Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper: 5 sheets
Ironing sheet: 1 sheet
Manual: 1
Precaution sheet: 1
Choosing a fabric for your transferred image
You can transfer images onto T-shirts, aprons, and many other items. Follow these guidelines when choosing a fabric:
Use white or pastel fabrics that are at least 50% cotton.
Since the transfer process requires that the iron be set at a high temperature, choose a heat-resistant fabric.
Avoid thick fabric or fabric with an uneven surface (for example, fabric with stitching)
Note:
The transferred image may not show up on a dark or bright-colored fabric.

Before you start

Make sure you have the following:
EPSON Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper
EPSON ink jet printer
Household iron
Scissors
A flat surface (either wood or metal) to work on
Cotton fabric or flat, thick card stock (cardboard is not appropriate) the same size as the image you want to transfer.
Printing the image on your Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper
1. Make any desired changes to the image in your application software.
Note:
Make sure to size your image correctly. Because your Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer paper is A4 paper size (210
×
8 1/4
11 3/4 inches), size your image to fit this space.
2. Load the paper in the printer. See your printer documentation for details.
Load the white side of the paper face up.
Load one sheet at a time.
Hold the paper lightly by one edge to support it as it feeds into the printer. The paper will feed automatically.
c
Caution:
If the paper is curled, flatten it before use.
Be careful not to fold the paper or scratch the printable surface.
Avoid touching the printable side of the paper. Moisture and oils from your skin can affect print quality.
Store any unused paper in its original packaging in a dark location away from extreme temperatures, high humidity, and direct
sunlight.
Use this paper in EPSON ink jet printers only. Do not use it in laser printers or copiers. Doing so may damage your equipment.
3. Set the paper thickness lever on the printer to the 0 position. Refer to the printer documentation for instructions.
4. Make the following settings in the printer driver:
Set the Media Type to Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper. If Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper is not included as one of
the options, select Plain Paper.
Select A4 as the Paper Size.
On the Advanced menu, set Print Quality to Fine-720 dpi.
Select the Flip Horizontal checkbox on the Advanced menu.
Note:
Because the transfer process inverts the image, you need to invert the image when you print it on the Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer Paper to
make the transferred image match the orientation of the original.
5. Print the image. See your printer documentation for details on printing.
c
Caution:
Do not scratch or otherwise damage the printed surface of your printout.
Although colors may appear somewhat faint after printing, the end result will be clear and vivid once the image has been
transferred.
6. To achieve a clean transfer, trim the margins around the image.
Leave a margin of about 5 mm (0.2 inch) around the image.
Avoid cutting sharp edges. Try to round the edges when you cut.
It is recommended that you transfer the image within 24 hours of printing.
