Transferring the image
Note:
If you are transferring copyrighted images, do not use these images for commercial purposes.
1. Make sure the iron is hot enough.
Your iron should be between 356 and 392 ° F (180 and 200 ° C).
Irons with adjustable temperature settings should be set to around 392 ° F (200 ° C).
For instructions on how to set the temperature, refer to the iron's instruction manual. The maximum temperature setting
for most irons is around 392 ° F (200 ° C).
c
Caution:
Iron in a well ventilated area, as some smoke and odor are produced during the process.
Never use the iron's steam setting.
Make sure that an adult is present when children are transferring images.
See the iron's instruction manual for details on using the iron.
Cordless irons are not suitable for this process, as they tend to cool too quickly. If you must use a cordless iron, make sure to keep it
at the correct temperature.
2. Place a length of cotton material, card stock, or a thick piece of paper on top of a wooden or metal surface, such as a table, to
protect it.
c
Caution:
Use a surface (wood or metal) capable of resisting high temperatures.
Always use cotton cloth, card stock, or a thick piece of paper to protect the ironing surface. Cardboard is not suitable for this process.
Make sure the material you use to protect the ironing surface can be laid completely flat. It should not have any stitches or folds.
Do not use ironing boards available on the open market. You may get unsatisfactory results when the image is transferred.
3. Place the T-shirt or fabric onto which the image is to be transferred on top of the material you're using to protect the ironing
surface. Make sure that the side onto which the image is to be transferred is facing upwards.
Note:
To ensure satisfactory results, iron the article onto which you want to transfer the image before you begin.
4. Place the Iron-On Cool Peel Transfer paper, image side down, flat against the fabric onto which you want to transfer the image.
5. Apply steady pressure and heat as you iron to help set the image and make sure that it does not peel during washing.
Note:
For best results, EPSON recommends that you practice on fabric scraps before you attempt the final transfer. Because the process is a little
tricky, your first attempts may not be successful.
