3.1 Emptying the dust container

Empty the dust container after every
cleaning session in order to maintain the
suction power of your cylinder vacuum cleaner.
Empty the dust container at the latest when
the "MAX" mark (Fig. 8/1./1) has been reached
or the cleaning indicator (Fig. 1/6) is showing in
the display window.
ATTENTION:
Switch off the appliance before emptying the
dust container ( Chapter 2.4, "Switching
off"). In this way, you will prevent dust from
damaging the appliance.
1. Unlatch the dust container by swaying its
retaining bracket upwards (Fig. 8/1.).
2. Then remove the dust container from its
mounting (Fig. 8/2.).

3. Empty the dust container by holding it low
over a dust bin and only then open the
bottom plate (Fig. 9/1).

NOTE:
You can dispose of the contents of the dust
container with your regular domestic trash if
it contains no waste materials prohibited in
domestic trash.
4. At this occasion remove the cyclone unit by
turning it counter-clockwise (Fig. 9/2) and
clean it.
5. Remove any dust that may have collected
in the dust compartment.
6. Replace the cyclone unit by turning it
clockwise (Fig. 9/2).
7. Fold the bottom plate back up. It will click
into place audibly.
8. Also clean or exchange the dual motor
protection filter on this occasion.

9. Put the dust container back into its holder.
You must feel and hear it clicking into place.

3.2 Changing filters

Dust and dirt particles can fix themselves to
the filters and reduce the airflow. Adhere to the
cleaning and changing intervals indicated
below.
Replace a damaged filter without delay.
The following filters are installed:

Dual motor protection filter (Fig. 10/1)
- Checking/cleaning: To maintain suction
power
check
protection filter after each vacuum
cleaning session. If the dual motor
protection filter is slightly dirty, it is
sufficient to pat out the dust. If it is heavily
soiled it must be thoroughly cleaned and
washed ( Chapter 3.4, "Cleaning /
changing the dual motor protection
filter").
- Changing: If the filter elements are too
dirty or it is no longer possible to clean
them, replace them with new filter
elements ( Chapter 5.1, "Consumable
parts").
Exhaust filter (Fig. 10/2)
- Cleaning: depending on the degree of
soiling, but at least once per month
- Changing: every 6 months
3.3 Changing the exhaust filter
1. Switch off the appliance ( Chapter 2.4,
"Switching off").
2. Reach under the exhaust filter cover and
fold it upwards (Fig. 11/1).

3. Remove the exhaust filter (Fig. 11/2).
4. Pat the dust out of the exhaust filter. If it
cannot be sufficiently cleaned in this
manner, wash it thoroughly by hand and let
it dry for at least 15 hours before replacing

5. Put the cleaned or new hygienic exhaust
filter ( Chapter 5, "Spare parts") back into
its holder.
6. Set the exhaust filter cover into the back
end first and then fold it down until you can
feel and hear it clicking into place.
3.4 Cleaning / changing the dual
motor protection filter
1. Switch off the appliance, remove the dust
container and empty it
"Emptying the dust container".
2. First pull the motor protection filter cassette
out of its holder by the tab provided
(Fig. 12/1).
3. Then remove the motor protection filter
element (Fig. 12/2).

4. For a rough cleaning, tap against both parts
of the dual motor protection filter lightly from
the
dual
motor
all sides.
NOTE:
If both parts of the dual motor protection filter
are extremely dirty, rinse them thoroughly
with a shower head (Fig. 13/1). Do not use a
brush or cleansers for this. Then leave the
filter element to dry (approx. 15 hrs at room
temperature, Fig. 13/2). Only put them back
into the appliance when they are completely
dry.

5. Put the motor protection filter element into
its holder in the correct position (Fig. 14/1).

6. Put the motor protection filter cassette into
its holder in the correct position (Fig. 14/2,
with the arrow pointing upwards). Push the
cassette back firmly from all sides and
check that it fits properly.

7. Replace the dust container It must catch
with an audible click. Check that the
container is firmly fitted before restarting
the appliance.
