9. Normal Operation
Danger!
Explosion risk!
An explosion may result if unsuit-
able air hoses are used.
→ Use only undamaged solvent-
resistant, anti-static air hoses
in good working condition that
have a continuous compression
strength of at least 145 psi , and
an inside diameter of at least 9
mm, such as the SATA air hose
(Art. No. 53090).
Notice!
Loss of function due to
clogged sieve
Contaminants in the air drawn in
and the build-up of deposits dur-
ing the painting process can clog
the sieve.
→ Replace the sieve at regular
intervals.
→ Protect the dry jet blow gun
against contaminants during the
painting process.
Notice!
Damage caused by dust
clouds
Dust particles may fly around if
the jet of air is pointed towards the
floor. This dust can lead to con-
tamination of the coated surface.
→ Do not blow air towards the
floor.

Notice!
Damage due to insufficient
distance
The paint may move if a sufficient
blowing distance is not maintained
for the dry jet blow gun.
→ Make sure to maintain the cor-
rect orientation for the dry jet blow
gun.
Information!
Use a compressed air connection
with a 1/4" male thread or suitable
SATA quick connect nipple.
Use uncontaminated compressed
air by using an SATA filter 484
(Art. No. 92320), for example.
The dry jet blow gun can be used
for manual application or with a
stand. Make sure to aim the dry jet
blow gun correctly when using ei-
ther method (see Chap. 9.1).
9.1. Aiming the dry jet blow
gun
Note the following to achieve the
best results
■ Aim the flat fan nozzle at the
painted surface [3-1] / [3-6].
■ Aim the dry jet blow gun at an an-
gle to the painted surface (ideal
blowing distance: 11.8" – 19.7"
[3-3] / [3-4], angle: 20° - 40°
[3-2] / [3-5]).
9.2. Manual operation
■ Turn the air flow regulator
[1-3] clockwise to the stop.
