7.4 Installing the LZ 70 P, PL/FL

7.4.1 Installing the motor assembly

The housing is designed to attach a motor with or without gears. Correct configuration of the
drive will prevent this electric cylinder causing danger.
Motors or motor/gear combinations recommended by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH for this electric
cylinder are installed using a motor adapter. This matched combination ensures that the elements
work together correctly.
Before starting installation, confirmation should be made that the supply to the drive motor has
been isolated. Combinations of motors/gears/motor adapters which differ from those recom-
mended by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH are installed at the customer's own risk.
The screw tightening torques can be found in the table in chapter 7.5. Spacer washers, adapters,
gear wheels, washers and fastening bolts are only designed for their respective drive.
1. Place a spacer washer above the key on the drive pin
push on until it touches the base.
2. Fit the key to the drive pin.
3. Push the gear wheel on until it touches
the spacer washer on the drive pin.
4. Fit the washer into the gear wheel.
5. Screw the washer using the cylinder screw onto th
drive pin.
6. Center the adapter onto the motor flange and
screw up.
