Video Mode : Setting Various Functions
Setting the Backlight Auto Control
This function enables to save power consumption by controlling the
brightness of LCD monitor automatically outdoors.
1. Move [POWER/MODE Selector] down to turn
on the CAM.
N The Video Record screen appears.
N You can select Video mode or Previous mode as
the start-up mode in System Settings.
(Refer to page 98)
2. Press the [MENU] button.
N The Video Settings screen appears.
3. Move the [W/T] button to select <B.L. Auto Ctl>
and press the [√] button.
4. Move the [W/T] button to select the desired
setting and press the [OK] button.
N Off: Cancel the B.L. Auto Ctl function.
N On: Set the B.L. Auto Ctl function. When using
Backlight Auto Control function in the bright
background outdoors, you can prevent
unnecessary battery power consumption.
5. Press the [MENU] button to finish setting.
Notes
✤ If you select [œ ] button in the menu, the previous
menu appears.
✤ Recording or Playing back the video file is not
affected by Backlight Auto Control function.
✤ Changes in the set-up made in the Photo mode are
all retained in the Video mode.
✤ If you set Backlight Auto Control function to On, the
LCD monitor looks the same as an ordinary LCD
monitor in bright lighting and sunlight outdoors.

1. Baje el [Selector POWER/MODE] (ENC./MODO)
para encender la CAM.
N Aparece la pantalla Video Record (Grab. vídeo).
N Puede seleccionar Video Mode (Modo Vídeo) o
el modo anterior como el modo de inicio en
System Settings (Ajustes sistema).

2. Pulse el botón [MENU] (MENÚ).
N Aparece la pantalla Video Settings (Ajustes vídeo).
3. Mueva el botón [W/T] para seleccionar
<B.L. Auto Ctl> y pulse el botón [√].
4. Mueva el botón [W/T] para seleccionar el ajuste
que desea y pulse el botón [OK].
N Off: cancela la función B.L. Auto Ctl.
N On: Al utilizar la función de control automático
de luz de fondo en exteriores con un fondo
brillante, puede evitar el consumo
innecesario de la batería.
5. Pulse el botón [MENU] (MENÚ) para finalizar el
ajuste.
Notas
✤ si selecciona el botón [œ ] en el menú, aparece el
menú anterior.
✤ La grabación o la reproducción del archivo de vídeo
no se ven afectadas por la función de control
automático de luz de fondo.
✤ Los cambios realizados en la configuración de
Photo Mode (Modo Foto) se mantienen en el Video
Mode (Modo Vídeo).
✤ Si define la función de control automático de luz de
fondo en On (On), el monitor LCD tiene el mismo
aspecto que un monitor LCD normal con luz
brillante y con luz del sol en exteriores.
