11 Troubleshooting

11.1 Troubleshooting Charger

Condition LED on Charger
Battery not being One LED glows
charged. red.
LED flashes red.
The charger (3) does The LED (4) glows
not run a self test. green for about

1 second.

Cause
Battery too hot or too cold. ► Leave battery in the charger.
No electrical contact
between charger and
battery.
There is a malfunction in
the charger.
There is a malfunction in
the battery.
Electrical contact to
charger was briefly
interrupted.
Remedy
Charge process starts automatically as soon as
permissible temperature range is reached.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts on charger.
► Fit the battery.
► Do not use the charger and contact your STIHL
dealer for assistance.

► Disconnect the plug from the wall outlet.
► Wait 1 minute.
► Insert the plug in a wall outlet.
