POWER SUPPLY
This flash unit can be operated with the following power sources:
– 4 Alkaline-Manganese batteries 1.5 V, type IEC LR6 (AA/
Mignon)
Batteries of this type are maintenance-free and suitable for
moderate performance requirements.
– 4 Lthium batteries 1.5 V, type IEC FR6 (AA/Mignon)
Batteries of this type are maintenance-free, have high capacity
and low self-discharge.
– 4 Nickel-metal-hydride rechargeable batteries 1.2 V, type IEC
HR6 (AA/Mignon)
Rechargeable batteries of this type have a much higher capacity
than Nickel-Cadmium rechargeable batteries and are less
harmful to the environment because they contain no Cadmium.
Details on the capacities of the various batteries can be found on
p. 47
Important:
• Use only the above-mentioned power sources. If you use other
power sources, there is a risk of damage to the flash unit.
• Always remove the batteries if you will not be using the flash unit
for a long period of time.

CHANGING THE POWER SOURCE
The batteries are drained or spent when the flash recycle time rises
to over 30s. (flash recycle time = time from firing the flash at full
output, e.g. at

Procedure
1. Switch off the flash unit (see the next section)
2. Push the battery compartment cover to the front and let go
