ATTACHING/REMOVING THE FLASH UNIT
Turn off the camera and flash unit
1. Turn the knurled nut

2. Push the flash unit with the connecting shoe as far as it will go into the
camera accessory shoe.
3. Turn the knurled nut as far as it will go against the camera casing and clamp
the flash unit tight. For camera casings with no locking hole, the spring-
loaded locking pink sinks into the flash unit casing so that the surface is not
damaged.

• Turn the knurled nut as far as it will go against the flash unit.
• Pull the flash unit out of the camera accessory shoe.

Changing batteries
The flash unit can be operated with high-quality:
• 4 nickel-metal hybrid rechargeable batteries 1.2 V, type IEC HR6 (AA/
mignon), much higher capacity than NC rechargeable batteries and less
harmful to the environment because they are cadmium-free.
• 4 alkaline-manganese dry batteries 1.5 V, type IEC LR6 (AA/mignon),
maintenance-free power source for moderate performance requirements.
• 4 lithium batteries 1,5 V, type IEC FR6 (AA/mignon), maintenance-free power
source with high capacity and low self-discharging.
Important:
Use only the above-mentioned power sources. If you use other power sources,
there is a risk of damage to the flash unit. If you do not use the flash unit for a
prolonged period, please remove the batteries from the device.
