STARTING / PARKING

STARTING

• Get on the vehicle from the left hand
side and sit in a safe, comfortable po-
sition. Keep both feet on the ground
so as not to lose balance.
• Lift side stand "A".

• Turn the ignition key to "
• Make sure that the steering lock has
not engaged.
• Set the gear to neutral (the light on
the dashboard will switch on) and pull
the clutch lever all the way as you
press the ignition button.
• Release the ignition button as soon
as the engine starts.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
To avoid discharging the battery, do not
hold down the ignition button for more
than 15 seconds at a time.
If the engine does not start within 15 sec-
onds, release the button and wait about
10 seconds before trying again to start
the
engine.

Make sure the side stand is completely
closed before setting off,
Setting off
With the accelerator dial completely
closed and the engine running on mini-
mum, pull the clutch lever all the way.
Engage fi rst gear by pushing the fear le-
ver all the way down.
Release the front brake lever.
Slowly release the clutch lever and at the
same time, gently accelerate; the motor-
cycle will begin to move forwards.
Releasing the clutch lever too brusquely
or quickly will cause the engine to stop
and the vehicle to stick.
Do not accelerate brusquely while set-
ting off as it is possible to lose control of
the vehicle.
To set the gear to neutral, press the gear
pedal several times as far as it will go
and then raise it gently.
