BASICS TO KNOW
The Filtering Quality is that which obtains the particle diameter and concentration required, with a safety margin
ranging from 1/3 to 1/7 allows that the polluting agents that cross the filtering elements and arrive at the destiny in
the diameters of particles, in the concentrations and required qualities of filtration.
Limit Flow, it creates in the clean filtering element a head loss close to the beginning of retro cleaning.
The Minimal Draining Flow is the flow value through the draining valves needed during the retrocleaning phase to
ensure evacuation of all particles retained by the filtering element.
The Contaminants are not created nor destroyed, the particles are either retained by the filtering elements and eva-
cuated through the draining valves, or pass through the filters and follow the flow to the outlet.
Recommended flow, according to the type of quality of the water:
- River/Dam, Poorly loaded water, with less than 50ppm.
- Channel, Medium loaded waters, between 50 and 100ppm.
- Waste water, Highly loaded waters with more than 100ppm.
For higher loads a previous deposit is demanded. The shown flows are general recommendations based on the com-
pany experience. These may vary throughout the years and of different times.
Hydraulic connections, easily identifiable by the colors of the microtubes:

Minimum backwash pressure, it is required for the correct functioning of the header, measeured in the exit collec-
tor durint the backwash process. It should be 2,5Kg/cm² minimum in order to guarantee the efficiency.
Pressure (pf): Pressure taken at the exit of auxiliary filter in intelligent technology systems, which detects the dirt in it.
Head loss (PD), it is the difference on load produced by the flow of water between P+ and p-.The pictures and/or
