Introduction

Mettler-Toledo Thornton pH sensors type 3201-UPW
are low-maintenance electrodes with pressurized gel-
electrolyte, silver-ion trap and built-in temperature sensor.

Safety instructions

The sensor consists primarily of glass and should
be handled carefully. If the sensor is to be cleaned or
calibrated using acid or alkaline solutions, safety goggles
and gloves should be worn. Local safety regulations are
applicable to the handling of the sensor. Please take
extra care during installation / fitting of the sensor to
ensure that the polymer thread (Pg 13.5) does not suffer
any damage.
We recommend that the sensor may only be in operation
with the original accessories from Mettler-Toledo
Thornton. Operation and maintenance should be carried
out only by trained personnel and staff familiar with the
unit and who have read and understood this instruction
manual.
