6. OPERATION
WARNING : Don't use this machine on plaster.
Wear safety goggles and dust mask.
Where possible, secure smaller workpiece to prevent them from moving under the sander.
Lower the sander in contact with the workpiece without pressure and then start the sander.
Move the sander slowly over the surface of the workpiece in a circular or curved motion
with an even, moderate pressure.
If there are still scratches on your work after sanding, try either of the following:
-- Go back to a coarser grit and sand the marks out before recommencing with the original
choice or,
-- Try using new sanding sheet of the same grit to eliminate the unwanted marks before
progressing to a ner grit and nishing the job.

FINE SANDING

1.
Use ne sandpaper.
2.
Press moderately hard and move the tool with a circular action, or forward and back, and
across, the workpiece.
3.
Do not tilt the tool, this will leave marks in the sanded surface.
4.
After nishing the work, switch o the tool and lift if o the workpiece.

PAD BRAKE

The pad brake reduces the speed when the tool is unloaded, to reduce the risk of leaving
marks in the workpiece when the tool is applied.
If the speed with no load increases in time, this means the pad brake is worn and must be
replaced by an authorised service centre.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE: Switch o the tool, unplug the power cord, and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before working on the tool.
Keep the ventilation openings and motor housing clean and free from dirt and dust.
Clean the tool with a cloth or sponge, moistened with a mild detergent. Do not use
abrasive or solvent-based detergents, this can damage the plastic parts.
Never immerse the tool in liquid or allow liquid to enter the tool – risk of electric shock
and personal injury.
Wipe the tool with a dry and clean cloth.
