4.1

General workflow

In order to process Ceramill Ti form blanks, a
respective milling file must first be transferred to
the Ceramill Motion 2 (5X).
▷ Switch the milling machine on.
▷ Start the Ceramill Motion software.
▷ Select the desired milling program file of the
Ceramill Ti form blank and click on
File(s)
.
▷ Make sure that the machine is set up according
to the necessary data of the program window.
If blank holder 4 is not already inserted, the
Deposit tool and change blankholder
flash green in the transmission window.
▷ Remove the blank holder from the machine (see
chapter 3.2.2 on page 19).
▷ Clean the locating bore and the surfaces in the
machine.
▷ Insert tooling (see chapter 4.2).
▷ Insert the tool holder 4 via the connection man-
drel to the stop into the locating bore of the
machine.

▷ Tighten fastening screw [1] with the torque
wrench until the torque wrench clicks once.
▷ Shut the door of the Ceramill Motion and press
the left button on the machine.
▷ The blank loading position is advanced to.
▷ Mount the Ceramill Ti form blank and tighten
firmly (see chapter 4.3 on page 29).
▷ Mount the transparent splash guard [1] to the
extraction opening and lock it in place with lever
[3].
▷ Insert the swarf sieve.
▷ In the Ceramill Motion software, click on
continue the transfer of the milling program.
▷ Start the milling process.

Tool placement

▷ Insert the Ceramill Roto TI tools with the tool
shank facing outward into the tool holder of
blank holder 4.
▪ Place the Ceramill Roto TI 2.0 (760616) on tool
location 1.
▪ Place the Ceramill Roto TI 1.0 (760615) on tool
location 2.
▷ Optionally: Insert the Ceramill Roto TI replace-
ment tools into the tool holder of blank holder 4.
▪ Place the Ceramill Roto TI 2.0 (760616) on tool
location 4.
▪ Place the Ceramill Roto TI 1.0 (760615) on tool
location 5.
