5. Safety
5.1 Safety instructions
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH has built the controllers and hand switches according to the current state
of the art and existing safety regulations. Nonetheless, controllers and hand switches may pose
risks to persons and property if these are used incorrectly or not for the intended purpose or if the
safety instructions are disregarded. Correct operation and careful maintenance will guarantee
optimum manual control switch performance and availability.
We therefore recommend that you pay particular attention to these sections.
This includes
•
understanding the safety instructions in the text
•
the configuration of the various operating options and their mode of function.
Only persons nominated for this task may operate controllers and hand switches. Work on and
with the controller may only take place in accordance with these instructions.
General, national and operating safety regulations are to be observed.
Responsibilities for the use of this controller must be regulated and observed unambiguously, so
that there cannot be any ill-defined competencies with regard to safety.
Before putting into operation each time, the user must be sure that no persons or objects are in
the controller's danger area. The user should only operate the controller and hand switch if they
are in perfect condition. Any change is to be reported to the next person responsible immediately
and the operation is to be shut down.
•
The controller must operated with damage to the mains supply,
housing, motor lead, hand switch or any other control lines (PLC, PC,
etc.).
•
In an emergency, pull the mains plug out of the controller in order to
shut down the connected drives.
•
Unauthorized conversions of or changes to the controller are not permit-
ted.
