Notice!
Depending on the compressed air quality, it is advisable to install a cy-
clone separator with sinter filter [1-7] (SATA filter 424 L) upstream from
the SATA AB1. This cleans the compressed air of any oil, condensate
and particles up to a size of 5 µm.
■ Can be connected to a power supply of 230 V, 50 / 60 Hz.
■ The compressed air pipe must have a diameter of min. G1 / 2.
■ The compressed air pipe must supply min. 6.5 bar.
■ Choose the installation site to permit a constant gradient of 1 to 2%
when the breathing air pipe has a maximum length of 30 m.
Option
■ Water connection with demineralised water supply.
9.1. Wall-mounting of SATA AB1
The SATA AB1 is firmly mounted to a wall in vertical position using four
8 mm screws.
■ Drill fastening holes [3-2] taking account of the min. height from the
floor [3-1], according to the hole pattern [3].
■ Insert dowel in drilled hole.
■ Open door of SATA AB1.
■ Put the fastening screws with flat washer through the drilled fastening
holes in SATA AB1 and screw into the wall.
9.2. Installing the breathing air pipe
The breathing air pipe is not part of the scope of supply of SATA AB1 and
must be provided by the customer.
Install the breathing air pipe [1-3] with a constant gradient of 1 to 2 % with
a max. length of 30 m.
■ Insulate the breathing air pipe on the outside to prevent condensation in
the breathing air.
■ Install the automatic condensate drain [1-6] at the lowest point in the
breathing air pipe and at every other sink.
■ Install ball valves for condensate drain according to system drawing [1].
■ Install bleeder throttle [1-5] at the end of the breathing air pipe.
■ Connect stub pipes [1-2] to the breathing air pipe for breathing protection
hoods.
