•Proper leak testing of all connections and hoses must be performed before the grill is used. Refer to Leak
Testing section in this manual for proper procedure.
• Visually inspect the hose assembly each time before using for damage, excess wear or deterioration. If any
damage is found, replace the damaged parts before use. Only the replacements provided by the manufacturer
should be used.
•Be sure to keep the supply hoses free of kinks and/or damage when assembling or converting to natural gas
usage.
AVOID HARD METAL PIPING
•Make sure not to use any kind of hard metal piping to connect this converted natural gas grill. Be sure only to
use manufacturer-specified natural gas hoses. Hard metal piping or convoluted metal tubing is unsafe as grill
movement can cause breakage in metal pipe.
LEAK TESTING
In order to avoid potential fire or explosion hazard:
•Make sure the leak test is performed in an area free of smoke and any ignition source.
•Test must be performed outdoors an areas with good ventilation.
•Leak testing with match or open flame should never be done as can lead to personal injury/property damage.
•Leak testing with while the grill is hot or in use should never be done as can lead to personal injury/property
damage.
WHEN A LEAK TESTING SHOULD BE PERFORMED
•After assembly or conversion of your grill to natural gas grill and before grill is lighted for the first time even if
fully assembled when purchased.
•Whenever replacement of gas components has taken place
•Whenever the grill has been moved
•At least annually or if the grill hasn't been used in the past 60 days
