CLEANLINESS
• Wash hands thoroughly with soap and hot water before handling food and after handling raw meat,
uncooked poultry or seafood.
• When a platter is used to carry raw meat, uncooked poultry or seafood to the grill, Make sure the platter is washed
thoroughly with soap and water before cooked food are placed back on the platter or use different platters for
raw and cooked foods.
• DO NOT use the same utensils for handling raw meat, uncooked poultry or seafood unless the utensils are washed
thoroughly with soap and hot water in between uses.
• DO NOT re-use marinade from raw meat or uncooked poultry on already cooked foods that are ready for
consumption.
GRILLING TO PROPER TEMPERATURE
• Using a meat thermometer is helpful in making sure that food has reached a safe temperature internally.
• Per the US Department of Agriculture, below are the recommended minimum temperatures that must be reached
for various items to ensure safe consumption:

HELPFUL HINTS
• Any pre-cooking of meat or poultry should be done immediately before grilling.
• Avoid defrosting meat at room temperature or on a countertop can as it can lead to bacteria growth
• Leftover refrigeration should take place within 2 hours after food has been taken off the grill.

• Keeping your grill clean and covered when not in use will help protect from excessive rust and increase longevity.
• Wash cooking grids and flame tamers with hot, soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry. Coat the cooking
grids lightly with vegetable oil or vegetable spray for additional protection against rusting.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe down inside and outside of grill. Lightly coat the interior surface with of vegetable oil or
vegetable oil spray for added rust protection.
• Use a specialized stainless steel cleaner for the stainless steel exterior surface of your grill.
• Do not cover rust spots on the interior surface with paint. Instead, buff, clean, and lightly coat with vegetable oil or
vegetable oil spray to protect against further rusting.
