Inspections prior to starting

Prior to starting, check that:
■ The filter is installed;
■ All latches are tightly locked;
■ The vacuum hose and tools have been correctly fitted
into the inlet (1);
Do not use the device if the filter is faulty.

Lock the caster brakes (1) before starting the vacuum cleaner.

Starting/stopping the vacuum cleaner

VHW311T version
■ Turn the manual motor starter (2) to the "I" position to
start the vacuum cleaner.
■ Turn the manual motor starter to the "0" position to turn
the vacuum cleaner off.
Checking the rotation direction of the vacuum unit
motor
Check the vacuum cleaner operation by putting a hand over
the inlet.
If the vacuum cleaner blows air out of the vacuum hose, the
motor rotation direction is wrong; disconnect the machine from
the electrical mains and invert two of the three
phase wires inside the power plug or inside the electrical
panel to which the power cord is connected.

Shaking the primary filter

VHW310 / VHW311 version
If vacuum performance decreases during operation or if the
filter becomes clogged, clean the filter by using the knob (1).
WARNING!
Stop the vacuum cleaner before shaking the filter.
Do not shake the filter while the vacuum cleaner is on,
as this could damage the filter itself.
Wait before restarting the vacuum
settle. If the vacuuming performance remains low, even after
shaking the filter, the filter element must be replaced (see
"Primary filter replacement" paragraph).
VHW311T version
If the pointer of the vacuum gauge switches from the green
zone (2) to the red zone (3), turn the vacuum cleaner off and
shake the main filter with the knob (1).
WARNING!
Stop the vacuum cleaner before shaking the filter.
Do not shake the filter while the vacuum cleaner is on,
as this could damage the filter itself.
Wait before restarting the vacuum cleaner to allow the dust to
settle. Replace the filter element if the pointer still remains in
the red zone (3) even after the filter has been shaken (consult
the "Primary filter replacement" paragraph).

Emergency stopping

Turn the manual motor starter to the "0" position.
