9.4. Replacing the sealing (air side)
• Disconnect the spray gun from the compressed air circuit!
Steps: [8-1], [8-2], [9-1], [9-2], [9-3], [9-4] and [9-5]
The self-adjusting seal [9-5] must be replaced if air starts leaking below
the trigger guard.
1. After disassembly, check air piston rod [9-4]; clean if necessary; re-
place in case of damage (e.g. scratches or bending), lubricate with
SATA high-performance grease (item no. 48173) and assemble,
keep an eye on installation height!
2. Also grease air micrometer shell, insert with air piston and tighten locking
screw using original SATA combination tool with max. 1 Nm.
After installation, please adjust material flow according to chapter 7.2.
• Check if the locking screw has been firmly tightened! The air microm-
eter could shoot out from the spray gun uncontrolled!
9.5. Replace CCS (ColorCode-System)
For individual marking of the spray gun, the CCS can be replaced accord-
ing to [9-6].
9.6. Replace spindle of round/ flat spray control –
Steps: [10-1], [10-2], [10-3]
The spindle has to be replaced when air leaks from the fan control or
when the fan control does not work.
1. Removing the old spindle
•
Remove screw [10-1] (Torx TX20)
•
Remove button [10-2]
•
Unscrew spindle [10-3] with spanner (width 14)
•
Make sure that the spindle pick-up is free of material and paint resi-
dues, remove residues and clean with solvent, if necessary
2. Installation and position of new spindle
•
Screw in spindle [10-3]
•
Plug button [10-2] onto the hexagon of the spindle
