Servicing and maintenance

Do not spray the RoMatik XS and the surrounding area (panels,
base) using a water hose, steam-jet air ejector or high-pressure
cleaner.
Caution
 Clean the stainless steel coverings with a stainless steel cleaner. We recommend
using Winterhalter C 122 Universal De-Greaser and Stainless Steel Cleaner such as
Winterhalter C 162 Stainless Steel Care in the pressurized spray can.
 Clean the control panel with a damp cloth.
 Do not use corrosive products, acids, steel wool or wire brushes.
 Do not use a scrubbing agent or an abrasive cleaner.

Installation
 Assembly position standing or lying horizontal on the left side.
 The installation site must be frost-resistant so that the water supply systems do not
freeze.
 The ventilation grate on the back should not be covered.
Electrical connection
Notes for the electrician:
 Connection only to alternating current via correctly installed earthed terminal outlet.
 Network voltage and voltage indication on the type plate must agree.
 Connection value and required fuses are to be indicated on the type plate.
 Network power change (if necessary) only be electrician.
Water connection
Notes for the installer:
 Connect RoMatik XS to water and sewer (see connection instructions page 8)
 Adhere to the limits of the untreated water (see technical information)
 The supply hose may not be shortened or damaged. Old existing hoses may not be
re-used.
 For water and sewer connection pursuant to DIN EN 1717: install RoMatik XS WSE
set (20000462)
 For dishwashers with pressure boilers: Install compressed air tank between the
RoMatik XS and the dishwasher (RoMatik Expansion Kit 5101127)
 Check that the connections are tight.

The yeild is dependent upon the total hardness (°dH) and the conductivity (µS/cm) of the
untreated water. A capillary consisted with these values with colour coding must be
installed on the back of the RoMatik XS at first start up.
