Upper
Rack
The upper rack is primarilyfor glasses, cups, and
saucers. For best wash performance, tilt cup and
glass openings toward the center of the rack. Other
items such as pots, pans, and plates may be placed
inthe upper rack.This is also a secure place for
dishwasher-safe plasticitems. T heupper rackcan
be usedfor odd sizedutensils. S aucepans,mixing
bowls,and othersimilarlyshapeditemsshould
be placedface downfor bestwash performance.
Ensuresmallplasticitemsare secureso that they
cannotfall on the heaterat the bottomof the
dishwasher, potentiallydamagingthe item.Some
modelsare equippedwith a hiddenheater, s o
dishwasher s afe plasticitemscanbe placedin the
lowerrack.
IMPORTANT: Ensurethat itemsdo not protrude
throughthe bottomof the rackor silverwarebasket
wherethey will blockthe rotationof the middlespray
arm.Thiscouldresultin noiseduringoperationand/
or poorwash performance.
IMPORTANT: Ensureitemsin the upperrack do not
interferewith the 3rd Rack(onsomemodels) when
loadingand unloading.

the ideallocationto positionbaby bottles and
tall sports bottles.The Bottle Wash clips hold
bottles with smallopeningsin placesowaterjets
are directedinsidethe bottlesto cleanhardto reach
areas.Clipscanbe installedor removedbysimply
slippingthe clipopeningoverthetopof the nozzle.
