6.4. REC (Record)
The
key activates the Min/Max/Average recording
function. The display contiues to display the current value.
When in REC mode the
Maximum, Average and current readings.
Maximum evaluation time is approximately 36 hours

6.5. ZERO
Enter Relative mode with
shows the present value minus the stored value when the
ZERO button was pressed. To indicate Relative mode, the
ZERO symbol is turned on. AC, TRMS and DC may be
displayed as negative values due to the subtractive process.
AC, TRMS and DC are zeroed depending on the active
display when ZERO has key is pressed. Thus, they are all in
Relative mode and the CYCLE key may used to select any
one of them.
The symbols in front of the measured value are:
no tilde, minus/no minus depending on whether the input is
less than or greater than the stored value. Note that this
differs from normal mode, the reason being that relative
values in AC or TRMS can be negative.
In resistance measuring function the ZERO is used for test
lead compensation. The compensated valued will not be
cleared be turning the rotary switch position or selecting the
continuity function. To reset switch to the off position on the
rotary switch
Logged data are relative values when in Relative mode.
Press
again to autozero the display. Exit ZERO by
turning the rotary switch.
The ZERO function can be used to null any DC offsets that
occur when measuring high DC currents
6.6. Back-light
Press the
key for more than 2 seconds to turn on the
back-light. The backlight turns off automatically after 30s to
extend the battery life.
