MICROWAVE POWER LEVEL
Your oven has 5 power levels. To choose the power
level for cooking, follow the advice given in the recipe
section. Generally the following recommendations
apply:
800 W used for fast cooking or reheating e.g.
soup, casseroles, canned food, hot beverages,
vegetables, fish, etc.
560 W used for longer cooking of dense foods
such as roast joints, meat loaf and plated meals,
also for sensitive dishes such as cheese sauce and
sponge cakes. At this reduced setting, the sauce
will not boil over and food will cook evenly without
over cooking at the sides.
COOKING TIPS:
In the cookbook section, you will find detailed instructions for recipe preparation, only basic cooking hints
are given here.
1. Push the door opening button, and the door will open, then place the food on the turntable.
2. If you wish to stop cooking before the cooking time has elapsed, turn the TIMER back to "0" (off), or open
the oven door. Although the oven door can be opened at any time during cooking , the cooking
programme you set will be cancelled at that time. To continue cooking, close the door and set the TIMER
to the desired cooking time.
3. If you wish to change the cooking time during cooking, simply turn the TIMER to the desired new setting.
WARNING:
Take care not to move the TIMER from "0" (off) position when the oven is not in use. You can enter the
cooking time when the door is open and then the oven will start automatically when you close the door.

NOTES:
1. Your oven can be programmed up to 30 Minutes. The input unit of cooking or defrosting time varies
from 15 seconds to 5 minutes, depending on the total cooking/defrosting time, as marked on the LIGHT
DISPLAY.
2. Your microwave oven is equipped with an energy save mode. The TIMER can be set to operate the
microwave oven only within 3 minutes after a cooking cycle ends or after closing the oven door.
Otherwise the oven door must be opened and closed again, before the TIMER can be set. This function
also works as a safety function to avoid unintended use.

400 W for dense foods which require a long
cooking time when cooked conventionally, eg. beef
dishes, it is advisable to use this power setting to
ensure the meat will be tender.
240 W to defrost, select this power setting, to
ensure that the dish defrosts evenly. This setting is
also ideal for simmering rice, pasta, dumplings and
cooking egg custard.
80 W For gentle defrosting, eg. cream gateaux or
pastry.
