Correcting out-of-balance is achieved by
removing material from the blade tooth
concerned. Repeat the procedure until

cutting attachment is properly balanced.

Number the blade teeth with chalk
and mark distance R as specified in
the table.
Fit and align the cutting attachment
– see column A.
No measurable out-of-balance – no
corrections to either blade tooth are
necessary.
Attach test weight to blade tooth at
distance R – see column B.
If the cutting attachment turns away
from the position of equilibrium in
the other direction, see column B,
out-of-balance is within the
permissible tolerance.
No
corrections to a blade tooth are
necessary.
If the cutting attachment turns away
from the positon of equilibrium in the
same direction, out-of-balance is
outside the permissible tolerance.
The blade tooth marked in column C
has to be reworked.
Turn the cutting attachment to the
next tooth and repeat procedure.
