▶ Inserting and Removing SDS Bits

Insert the SDS bit into the round

opening in the hammer adapter.
2 While pushing, rotate the bit slightly in
both directions to align the guides on
the shank with the locking feature of
the adapter (Fig. 9).
Push the bit all the way and try to pull

it back slightly to make sure that it is
locked in the adapter.
To remove a bit, push the outer housing of
the adapter towards the tool, and pull the
bit out (Fig. 10).

Auxiliary handle must be adjusted to
achieve safe work posture and minimize
fatigue.
1 Turn the gripping portion of the handle
in the counterclockwise direction until
the handle is free to rotate around the
hammer adapter, but it is still attached
to it.
Rotate the handle to the desired

position.
Secure the handle to the adapter by

turning the gripping zone in the
clockwise direction to tighten it. (Fig.
11).
Check to verify that the clamping band of
the auxiliary handle is positioned in the
groove on the housing of the hammer
adapter.
