SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please pay attention to the safety instructions in the
attached leaflet!
Before switching on, ensure that protective swing guard
moves freely.
Do not clamp the protective swing guard.
Protective swing guard operation only with the provided
lever or automatically by the workpiece.
Do not use saw blades not corresponding to the key data
given in these instructions for use.
Do not brake the speed of the saw-blade after switching off
the motor by pressing on it from the side.
Do not fix the on/off switch in the "on" position when using
the saw hand-held.
Only start sawing when the motor has reached its maximum
speed of rotation.
Do not touch material after it has been cut. Cut material may
be very hot.
Do not use cutting oil. The use of cutting oil may cause a
fire.
Do not use tool near flammable material. Sparks may cause
fire.
Do not cut workpieces covered or stained with gas, oil,
solvents, thinners, etc. Exposure to these materials may
damage the transparent guard.
Do not remove the transparent front guard. If the
transparent front guard is damaged or missing, return tool to
authorized service station for replacement.
Do not start the blade when in contact with workpiece. Wait
for blade to reach full speed before beginning cut.
When plunge cutting secure the workpiece against kickback
(e.g. with cross bar).
Avoid kickback of the tool while cutting: kickback is a
sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or misaligned blade,
causing an uncontrolled cutter to lift up and out of the
workpiece toward the operator. Kickback is the result of tool
misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions
and can be avoided by taking proper precautions as given
below: maintain a firm grip with both hands, cut rectilinear,
do not misalign the blade, do not force plunge cutting.
When blade is binding, or when interrupting a cut for any
reason, release the trigger and hold the cutter motionless in
the material until the blade comes to a complete stop.
Never restart the machine when the blade in contact with
workpiece.
Remove the battery pack before starting any work on the
machine.
Do not dispose of used battery packs in the household
refuse or by burning them. Milwaukee Distributors offer to
retrieve old batteries to protect our environment.
Do not store the battery pack together with metal objects
(short circuit risk).
Use only System 3000 chargers for charging System 3000
battery packs. Do not use battery packs from other systems.
